We were very lucky to find this company. We took the motorhome to England from Scotland to experience our first Silverstone F1. It was immaculate inside and out. We didn’t need to pay for electrical hook up as the solar panel provided everything we needed for the 4 days we were away. The company was very professional and were easy to communicate with. We rented the 2024 Ford Swift motorhome from Happy Family Motorhome Hire near Glasgow for a week-long trip through the Scottish Highlands and NC500. 1. What driving licence do I need to hire your motorhome?
A standard UK Category B licence (car licence) held for at least 2 years. Drivers must be aged 30–75.
3. Is the motorhome suitable for wild camping in the Highlands?
Built for off-grid freedom. Equipped with solar panels, huge onboard water tanks, and Grade 3 Thermal Insulation to keep you cozy even at -15°C. Perfect for the NC500.
5. Is your motorhome pet-friendly?
No. We maintain a strict no-pets policy. This guarantees a 100% pristine, allergy-free, and "as-new" luxury environment for every single guest.
2. Can I leave my personal car with you?
Yes! We offer 100% free. Leave your personal car in our premises in Blantyre for the entire duration of your hire. Drop your keys and drive away stress-free.
4. What is included in the hire price?
Everything except your clothes and food. Full insurance, luxury bedding, fresh towels, outdoor furniture, a fully fitted kitchen, and unlimited mileage. Zero hidden fees.
6. How does the security deposit work?
A refundable security deposit is required at the time of collection. The amount depends on your driving history: £1,250 (standard) — applies to most drivers with a clean or minor conviction history.
£1,750 — applies if you have more than 2 minor convictions, or 1 conviction of 6+ points within the last 3 years. The full deposit is refunded within 7 working days of your return, provided the vehicle is brought back in its original condition.
